Construction can be hectic and this means that document control and organization are key to keeping up. The good news is that when it comes to drawings in StructionSite you can move them between folders to stay organized when things change.
From the Web Application:
Once inside your Project in StructionSite, navigate to your Drawings, then hover your cursor over the source folder where the drawing you want to move is currently located, and select "Edit."
In the "Edit Folder" window you will find a list of drawings. The drawings that have a checkbox next to them are the ones currently stored within that folder. To move them out of the folder, uncheck the box next to the drawing you want to move, this will release the drawing from the folder.
Now hover your cursor over the destination folder where you would like to add the drawing, and select "Edit."
You will see the "Edit Folder" window for the destination folder. Check the box next to the drawing you want to move into the folder to add it to the folder.
That's all there is to it!
From an IOS Mobile Device:
1. Once inside your Project in StructionSite, navigate to your Drawings, then select the ellipses "…" at the top right of the source folder where the drawing you want to move is currently located.
2. Select "Edit Folder" on the next window and it will bring you to a list of drawings. The drawings that have a checkmark next to them are the ones currently stored within that folder. To move them out of the folder, tap the drawing name to remove the checkmark. Then tap "Submit" which will release the drawing from the folder.
3. Now select the ellipses at the top right of the destination folder where you would like to add the drawing, and select "Edit Folder".
4. Tap on the name of drawing you would like to add to this folder. A checkmark will appear to the right of the drawing name indicating your selection. Then tap "Submit" to move the drawing into this folder.
