Virtual Reality (VR), is a powerful tool that allows us to virtually visit a place when we cannot be there. The Google Cardboard is a simple, cost-effective way to communicate design ideas and show progress on the jobsite for a project stakeholder that can't physically be onsite.
First, some setup instructions and useful links for Google Cardboard:
- Google Cardboard official page: https://vr.google.com/cardboard/
- A useful video for setting up cardboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1YHKSjp5bk
To view any 360 photo in VR using Google Cardboard simply navigate the drawing of your choice and select the pin corresponding to the photo you're interested in seeing. Click the pin preview thumbnail to open the 360 image in full view. Once in the full photo view slide the 'VR' button and rotate your phone sideways to slide it in to the cardboard. Enjoy viewing in VR!
